Ο εικαστικός και ομότιμος καθηγητής της Ανώτατης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών της Αθήνας, Μιχάλης Μανουσάκης οργανώνει στην γκαλερί ΑΛΜΑ την ομαδική εικαστική έκθεση Το ’21 των Φίλων με τη συμμετοχή 9 Ελλήνων καλλιτεχνών.
Η έκθεση πραγματεύεται την έννοια της φιλίας με αφορμή την εθνική Επέτειο των 200 χρόνων της Ελληνικής Επανάστασης. Ο Μιχάλης Μανουσάκης παρουσιάζει τα έργα των καλλιτεχνών φίλων του συνυφασμένα με υλικό από την προσωπική του συλλογή παιχνιδιών και φωτογραφιών από το 1860-1890. Τα συλλεκτικά αυτά αντικείμενα σκιαγραφούν τον εορτασμό της εθνικής Eπετείου του ’21 και  περιλαμβάνουν φωτογραφίες σχολικών εορτών, κούκλες τσολιάδων κ.α. υπενθυμίζοντας την ανάμνηση όχι μόνο της ιστορικής συγκειρίας της ηρωικής Επανάστασης αλλά και μιας αλλοτινής παιδικότητας και της φιλίας που έμεινε αναλείωτη στον χρόνο..
Γράφει ο Μιχάλης Μανουσάκης: Από τη μια οι μνήμες για τα 200 χρόνια της Ελληνικής επανάστασης των προγόνων μας και από την άλλη οι φιλίες μου σχεδόν 50 χρόνια πριν, σκέφτηκα να το γιορτάσω διπλά με φίλους αγαπημένους που μεγάλωσα και μεγαλώνω μαζί τους ζωγραφίζοντας. (Οι φίλοι είναι πολλοί αλλά δυστυχώς δεν χωράμε όλοι). Μια μικρή γιορτή με παιχνίδια, ζωγραφική, γλυπτική, φωτογραφίες και την ομορφιά της φιλίας, να κλείσουμε την χρονιά του 2021 μ’ ευχές για τα καλύτερα. Στο πεζοδρόμιο της Γκαλερί όμως, με ένα ποτήρι κρασί στο χέρι, χωράμε όλοι. Συμμετέχουν οι φίλοι:Άγγελος Αντωνόπουλος

ALMA Gallery proudly presents the group exhibition 21′ of Friends organised and curated by the renowned artist and emeritus professor of the Athens School of Fine Arts, Michalis Manousakis. The gallery will display the work of 9 acknowledged Greek artists. The exhibition deals with the concept of friendship on the occasion of the national Anniversary of the 200 years from the Greek Revolution. Michalis Manousakis presents the works of his artists- friends intertwined with objects from his personal collection of toys and photographs dating from 1860 to 1890. These collectible items portray the celebration of the national anniversary of 1821 and include photos from school holidays, dolls of evzones etc. recalling the memory not only of the historical occasion of the Greek Revolution but also of a bygone childhood and of friendship that withstood the test of time.. Michalis Manousakis writes: On the one hand the memories of the 200 years from the Greek revolution of our ancestors and on the other my friendships from almost 50 years ago. I wanted to celebrate both with dear friends I grew up with and continue to grow together through painting. (There are many more friends but unfortunately we do not all fit). A small celebration with toys, painting, sculpture, photos and the beauty of friendship, to close the year 2021 with hopes for the best yet to come. On the gallery’s sidewalk,  with a glass of wine in hand, everyone fits.
